Hey guys, it’s Friday, yaaaay… weekend! It’s the perfect time to delight ourselves with little pleasures and guess what? Today you’re in for a real treat, as we’re going to take a little trip back in time, discovering the ancient history of Cyprus and some of its dreamy attractions.
Since I wanted to see almost everything there is to see in Cyprus, we’ve rented a car a couple of days ago and we started planning, where to go, what to see and what to do and at 8am in the morning we were already on the road. That was the most difficult part of our trip, because I’m not really used to go on the other side of the road haha.
Our first stop was in the beautiful Kourion, on the south coast of Cyprus, an ancient Greek city perched on top of a hill, that’s filled with breathtaking ruins and views of the sea that will make your heart skip a beat. It feels amazing walking between the ruins and following the footsteps of gladiators at the massive theatre, the Gladiators house or taking a look at the place where the great Achilles lived. And after a couple of hours here, I knew why Ancient Kourion is one of the most popular attractions in Cyprus.
Next, just a couple of miles away from this lovely ancient town, you could find the Kolossi Castle, which seems to get its name from its size, which is colossal. It’s a former Crusader stronghold that was built in the 14th century and if you’re a big fan of castles and fortifications, this place is a must a see.
This was just part one of a magical day around Cyprus and in a couple of days I’ll be back with part two, which will be even more amazing than this one. Stick around, because I’m pretty sure you will love it, especially you girls!
My outfit: C&A faux fur vest, Top Shop dress, casual silver shoes, H&M necklace and an Atmopshere bucket bag.
Sooooo beautiful; you and the pictures. I like the shoes with this dress; it was a nice offset.
