Old Town of Dubrovnik 1

The Old Town of Dubrovnik

As I’ve said in my previous post, Dubrovnik is one of the most crowded cities I’ve ever been to and, even though I was already a morning person to begin wish, I’ve been forced to wake up even earlier than usual if I wanted to take some awesome shots around town, without too many people 🙂

So these days I usually woke up at 5 or 6 am but believe me, that was the only way, because at 8 in the morning Dubrovnik’s beautiful old town was already filled with so many tourists, and every minute a new bus stopped in front of the city walls, bringing even more people there. You’ll want to hurry up when you see hundreds of tourists coming to you and ruining that perfect shot 😀

And the entire old town is so amazing it’s almost too good to be true, with beautiful Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque churches, old palaces, fountains and narrow cobblestone streets. All buildings are made from stone, in a bright shade that makes the entire town look like it came straight out of a fairy tale.

Until I got there, I was thinking about a white dress for this special photoshoot, but then I’ve realized that I must wear something a bit more colorful, so it could contrast beautifully with those amazing buildings and the lovely streets of the old town. A gorgeous red dress was the perfect choice for this occasion, and now that I’m watching the photos… I think I’ve picked well. Well done Georgiana 😀 🙂

So, are you ready to discover this charming city together with me?
