I know it’s Friday and your mind probably flies away to the weekend and all those lazy or fun moments, but try to stay with me for a few more minutes because I promise.. you won’t regret it 😀 Today I’m going to show you the last part of my awesome vacation, from a picturesque place called Kotor, in Montenegro.
Surrounded by well-preserved fortifications and filled with so many charming old buildings, Kotor is a small coastal town nestled in a secluded part of the Bay of Kotor, which is probably one of the most picture-perfect places you will ever see. The old town will steal your heart easily with all its amazing sights, lovely streets, boutiques and terraces, but it’s so crowded with tourists that you will have to come here very, very early if you want to take some proper shots.
After a few hours of walking around the old town and a quick stop to enjoy a cold drink, because the heat was killing us, we found the courage to go to the next level and decided to climb all those stairs that lead the old Kotor fortress.
And we’ve climbed thousands of stairs for more than hour, until the point that I’ve started to doubt we will be able to climb all those stairs to the end, but one thing kept me going: the view! It gets better and better as you get even higher up the mountain, and you’ll probably want to make a lot of stops to enjoy the view and take a few photos 🙂 But you need a pair of comfy shoes and I was very inspired to take these chic white slippers with me.
Unfortunately we didn’t get to climb all the way to the top, because the sun was scorching hot and we were even out of water 🙂 I know it was probably a pity we didn’t get to see the old fortress as well, because we were pretty close, but I’m sure you’ll love all the photos I took ’til there.
