The best way to forget about the cold temperatures outside is to stay in and enjoy a hot cup of tea or a delicious coffee, while thinking about some warm memories 🙂 That’s exactly what I’ve done today and since I like you guys a lot, I’ve decided to share those memories with you too, with my amazing experience in a city that’s just too good to be true.
I’m talking about Potsdam, a charming town in the outskirts of Berlin, that’s even more incredible and probably more important for Germany’s history than Berlin itself. You see, Potsdam was the residence of the Prussian kings for centuries, and even the German Kaiser stayed here until 1918.
It’s a city filled with history, with many incredible sights and mesmerizing buildings wherever you look, and a lovely atmosphere that will make you fall in love with this place for eternity. The cherry on top is definitely the Sanssouci Park, a massive complex where you could get lost for hours between breathtaking palaces, botanical gardens, temples and interesting monuments.
We’ve spent an entire day in Potsdam and unfortunately that wasn’t nearly enough, because we had to see everything on fast-forward, but we’ve made a promise we’ll be back here as soon as possible. Now I’ll let these photos to delight you and I hope you’ll like this little piece of heaven just as much as I did.
